my prayer

My prayer is, is that we use this time to make a straight path.

Do I truly believe that this is the end? No. Absolutely not. Do I believe that this is a compassionate dress rehearsal for hard times to come? Yes. So, my prayers continue to be that we open our eyes to the realization that we are not living an immortal life, but that the daily choices that we make, determine our eternal destinies.

My prayer is for reconciliation. My prayer is that families reconcile, marriages reconcile and gain strength. My prayer is for truth…that we truly start telling it and walking in it. My prayer is for more humanity and less SELF. My prayer is that we keep seeking peace and pursing it. My prayer is for us to be better to those who don’t do good to us. My prayer is for more understanding and compassion.

My prayers are that we get quiet enough to hear the plans of God for our individual lives. My prayer is that when we fill up our pantries and houses with things to sustain our physical bodies, that we pursue spiritual nourishment to fortify our hearts, minds, souls, and Spirit. My prayer is that we never. lose. focus. again. My prayer is for everyone to walk in their rightful places in life. My prayer is that our experiences throughout this time will cause us to NEVER be the same…no more “business as usual”. May our Damascus road experiences shape our futures permanently.

May everything that doesn’t line up with our future be scaled away. May everyone find their purpose, be it renewed, repurposed, or realigned.

May our spiritual alarms be reset and recalibrated. My prayer is that we walk away from this moment in time, more determined than ever to be the best children, mothers, fathers, men and women that we were preordained to be.

As we fight for life, my prayer is that we die to our old ways, our old systems of doing things, our archaic ways of thought.

My prayer is that the fire of this trial will brandish our new life as fire refines gold.

Change isn’t easy and peace in the face of fear isn’t hard to find when you read the right manual. So during this time, I’m preoccupying my mind being on Him. In this time, it’s the only thing that will keep me at peace.

I pray that you all will find the same peace.

In the Name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.
